Description
Caliza Capri: The Premier Spanish Limestone for Architectural Excellence
Caliza Capri is a world-renowned natural stone from Spain, celebrated for its extraordinary uniformity, fine grain, and luminous cream-white tones. Quarried primarily in the regions of Alicante and Murcia, this limestone is the preferred choice for architects seeking a minimalist, high-end aesthetic that remains timeless.
What Makes Caliza Capri Unique?
Unlike other limestones that may feature heavy veining or color shifts, Caliza Capri is prized for its “homogeneity.” This means large surfaces—such as skyscraper facades or expansive hotel lobbies—can maintain a consistent color profile throughout.
Geological Origin: Spain (Alicante/Murcia region).
Aesthetic: Soft cream to light beige base with tiny, delicate fossil inclusions.
Texture: Ultra-fine grain that accepts various finishes beautifully.
Applications
This natural stone is suitable for internal use: floor, wall, vanity tops and stair covering in both private housing and in public buildings with moderate and intensive collective use. The stone material and the stone finish should be selected to suit the area it is being applied to. The honed finish provides a “silk” feel underfoot, making it ideal for high-end residential living rooms and commercial entrances.
Popular Finishes
Honed: Smooth and matte; the most popular choice for interior floors.
Polished: Adds a slight sheen, deepening the cream tones.
Sandblasted: Provides a grainy, slip-resistant texture for outdoor use.
Bush-hammered: A rugged, pitted texture perfect for rustic or industrial facades.

Sealing
When the finished surface is completely dry, the areas can be protected with a suitable sealer. Stain Proof Impregnating Sealer will give an invisible, breathable, long term protection from water and oil based stains.
Maintenance
For flooring it is advisable to use a dry micro fiber mop where possible, this will reduce the risk of scratching. Regular professional cleaning is advised. When wet washing always use an acid-free product! Allow the floor to dry thoroughly during the first 3 to 6 months. During this period it is important to use only a small amount of water to mop the floor and allow the surplus moisture to evaporate from the tiles; also use a product that does not seal the pores of the stone (e.g. Lithofin MN Easy Care Cleaner). This product is always added to the wash water and can be used for future regular cleaning. Worktops should be cleaned with a neutral PH cleaner, and dried with a soft cotton cloth.
