Description
Statuarietto Marble: The Refined Balance of Italian Luxury
Statuarietto Marble is a prestigious white natural stone from the world-famous quarries of Carrara, Italy. While it shares the same geological heritage as the legendary Statuario, Statuarietto is distinguished by its finer, more frequent grey veining that dances across a luminous milk-white background.
For architects and designers, Statuarietto represents the perfect middle ground—offering the dramatic contrast of high-end Italian marble with a more detailed and versatile pattern for modern interiors.
The Character of Statuarietto
Unlike the thick, bold “ribbons” found in Statuario, Statuarietto (meaning “Little Statuario”) features a dense network of thin, elegant veins. These veins range from cool charcoal to soft dove grey, often creating a “mesh” or “broken” pattern that adds deep texture to any surface.
- Origin: Carrara, Italy (Apuan Alps).
- Color Profile: Brilliant white base with fine, rhythmic grey veining.
- Aesthetic: Classical Italian elegance with a contemporary, high-contrast edge.
Why Choose Authentic Italian Statuarietto?
Unmatched Pedigree: Sourcing from Carrara ensures you are getting a stone with a 2,000-year history of architectural excellence.
Design Versatility: It pairs effortlessly with both warm wood tones and cold metal finishes like brushed nickel or matte black.
Investment Value: Natural Italian marble is a “legacy material” that increases the resale value of luxury real estate.
Applications
This natural stone is suitable for internal use: floor, wall, vanity tops and stair covering in both private housing and in public buildings with moderate and intensive collective use. The stone material and the stone finish should be selected to suit the area it is being applied to.
1. Kitchen Islands & Countertops
Statuarietto is a favourite for waterfall islands. Its intricate veining ensures that even on large surfaces, the pattern remains interesting and consistent, providing a luxury focal point that is “quieter” than Calacatta but more striking than standard Carrara.
2. Book-Matched Wall Cladding
Because of its fine-line structure, Statuarietto is an excellent candidate for book-matching. When two slabs are mirrored, the delicate veins create a kaleidoscopic effect that is perfect for master suite feature walls or grand entryways.
3. Luxury Bathrooms
The crisp white background of Statuarietto makes it ideal for smaller spaces like bathrooms, as it reflects light while the grey veins provide a sophisticated “anchoring” element.

Sealing
When the finished surface is completely dry, the areas can be protected with a suitable sealer. Stain Proof Impregnating Sealer will give an invisible, breathable, long term protection from water and oil based stains.
Maintenance
For flooring it is advisable to use a dry micro fiber mop where possible, this will reduce the risk of scratching. Regular professional cleaning is advised. When wet washing always use an acid-free product! Allow the floor to dry thoroughly during the first 3 to 6 months. During this period it is important to use only a small amount of water to mop the floor and allow the surplus moisture to evaporate from the tiles; also use a product that does not seal the pores of the stone (e.g. Lithofin MN Easy Care Cleaner). This product is always added to the wash water and can be used for future regular cleaning. Worktops should be cleaned with a neutral PH cleaner, and dried with a soft cotton cloth.
